3 country sets in a row. I really really like these photos of Teresa! Found out about her on tumblr. She reminds me of an Erin Wasson. Sometimes she looks a little drugged out in pics, but I like it.
 
Currently looking at how to sew a cuff placket on a shirt and a zip fly on trousers; it harder than it looks :| time to re-do my toiles.

I am almost finally done with my Chloe project! Ah that took ages, should have tried to finish it at xmas -_- Oh well.

Inspired by Topshop's Comic Girl trend and Roy Lichtenstein.
 
I started to watch Gossip Girl again from where I left off on season 3, just to pass the time while I'm working in my sketchbook. I hear this season isn't that great. I wonder what's going to happen to Jenny in the end. It's quite sad that she's fallen under this group clique of being a mean girl. I still can't get my head around that Dan is Gossip Girl, it still doesn't make sense.

Trendspotting: Aztec Girl
It was early Friday morning (1st Feb!) when I saw this girl’s outfit on the tube and I noticed she also goes to my Uni, as I could tell by her I-D card on her lanyard. She had brown hair, which was done up and had a cat style eyeliner. She was wearing a mint coloured jumper with this bold heart shape necklace and black raincoat with a warm white scarf. A pair of cool knitted Aztec leggings and cosy trainers. She also wore a cute Aztec backpack! I literally made this set soon after I got into Uni! Then I went to the library to fix up the last bits of my Abercrombie & Fitch competition project, sticking loads of pics down and putting headers on samples. (I call A&F: Apple-crumble!)
 
I was selected for the first round of A&F interviews but didn’t get to go to Ohio for the second round of interviews. Oh well, I wasn’t too disappointed because I was freaking out with my own final major project at that point, but I did enjoy doing the project – I did the Countryside Look! It was the reason for my “Welcome to the English Countryside...” collection.

Random side notes:
 
I think I should stay away from paper altogether. I keep getting paper cuts! >:( I was in Cass Art, looking at Bristol Boards, turned it portrait to put it back and then I cut myself, ****! Gawd I don’t know how I’ve gotten so clumsy. I think it started when I was getting so stressed with deadlines. This is my 3rd paper cut already this month...starting to remind myself of Bella, horror, except I don’t do it deliberately. It’s funny how much that New Moon scene where Bella had a paper cut was so exaggerated because that much blood would not pour out from a stupid paper cut.
 
I’m doing sad attempts at hand knitting! It’s quite complicated :s but I probably just need more practice. I think I want to make about 3 hand knitted pieces in my collection. I looked at my 6-outfit line up and I figured that strong cabled hand knitted pieces is what is missing for a strong collection because it does look a bit flat...and not really innovative enough. My tutor did say I should do some hand knitting of cables, but I said “but I can’t hand knit” and then she said “well you’re going to have to learn!” and so here I am.
 
Apparently there was going to be a Dumbo 2! But it got cancelled because Disney at the time were doing too many sequels to keep the original film alive. That’s a shame; I would have liked to see Dumbo 2! I think I’m going to watch Aristocats later :) I don’t think I’ve seen it.
 
I want to order some black and white striped jeans...but I’m not sure whether to get them in the thin stripes or thick stripes? They’re very good price on sale too!! :)

I want to order by tonight because of their low stock; I went their store today in Oxford but they didn’t have any, apart from the Parisian Limited Edition ones but the quality was awful.
 
I have posted a lot of sets in the last few days to get rid of my drafts! I don't like having lots of drafts, because it tends to build up.

Daughter are a English indie folk band, formed in London in 2010. It was originally just Elena Tonra as a solo artist, but now they are a trio with guitarist Igor Haefeli and drummer Remi Aguilella. After releasing three EPs in 2010 and 2011, they were signed by 4AD and are set to release their first debut album, If You Leave, in March 2013.Their Wild Youth EP album earned praise from British website For Folk’s Sake who described Daughter as "one of the most unique sounds in the pop landscape today.” Elena commented on being signed to 4AD that, “we couldn’t be happier to be working with 4AD, a label that has released so many inspirational records and whose ethos we hold in very high regard. It really is a privilege."

I first found out about Daughter from listening to the Communion Records: New Faces album and I was really struck by that song, Love. Elena voice did sound a little like Florence Welch, because that song sounded quite dark and haunted but beautiful at the same time. Elena is a very talented singer songwriter; their music is very calm and soothing, great to listen to when you’re relaxing or reading. I am looking forward to their new album! The above songs I linked are just some of my favourites, I love Shallows especially :)

Trendspotting:
This was at one our first pattern cutting lessons of the new term when I saw her wearing a really nice minimalist outfit. I come to realise she wears a lot of grey and neutral colours, but it suits her. She was wearing a tailored grey blazer with a jumper and shirt. I wasn’t sure if she was wearing dark jeans and boots, but that’s what I think she wore :) I love the Chelsea boots that she's been wearing.

So apparently...Girls Aloud have split. I know, I know, shocking, right?! *coughs* (not really). I didn’t know they were still together. I thought they split up a long time ago when they started to do solo stuff.

The title is a strange quote that I found on tumblr, but I like it. I was inspired by these two pictures. The little girl kind of reminds me of Mackenzie Foy, not sure if its actually her, but that is a beautiful photograph.

It depends on what it is that I’m looking for. But I usually like to go on WGSN’s tumblr for fashion and trends www.wgsn.tumblr.com they post a lot of inspiring imagery. Tumblr and pinterest are both great for finding great inspiring imagery.

Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle – terrible book! *shakes head* I never felt so annoyed in all my life :s I skimmed a lot of books for my dissertation, so that doesn’t really count...
 
4. Fav tv show right now?
I love Misfits.

I don’t read them.
